Invidia - Uppipe (2006-2014 WRX / 2004+ STI)
This up-pipe makes for an excellent exhaust upgrade as the factory up-pipe can rob you of power and performance. Over time and mileage, and several heat cycles, the insides of the factory downpipe can break apart which can block the flow path of the turbocharger. This can make your vehicle feel weak and down on power, while your turbocharger works harder to reach boost levels that fall short of your factory settings. This can also cause premature wear to your turbocharger while creating an excessive amount of heat from the factory up-pipe. Invidia relieves this issue with their up pipe as it has been designed with a smooth bend to allow for unobstructed exhaust flow starting right at the turbocharger. This will allow for a better turbo response which will also create more horsepower and more torque.
